Burned by Bullying, Victorious as a Veteran – Justin Brazil S.O. What! Success Story

Once I started sharing my story, I began to hear and embrace the stories of others more and that includes Justin Brazil story.

A few years ago, I spoke on a local panel and met an amazing man with an incredible story of resilience. One of the topics of the S.O. What! Literacy, Life Skills, and Character Education Curriculum is bullying. In fact, in the first lesson students examine my bullying story where I dealt with the I Hate Summer Club and name-calling to dissect the reasons why people bully others.

Although hurtful in many ways, my bullying story didn’t compare to Justin Brazil. After being set on fire by his bully, his experience left him physically scarred for life.
