As we step into Women’s History Month, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible women who have shaped history and left an indelible mark. In this photo, I’m surrounded by two of my friends and mentors, Beverly Robertson and Rose Flenorl, both history-makers in their own right.

Beverly, the long-time director of the National Civil Rights Museum, and Rose, the first black Ms. Ole Miss and president of their national alumni association, have been powerful female role models for over two decades. They played a special role in helping me build my career and lay the foundation for my own legacy.
