We first met through the National Speakers Association, but our connection grew deeper over a memorable lunch in Houston. That day, I learned about Alana’s incredible story of resilience, one that moved me profoundly and exemplified the power of overcoming adversity.

Alana’s journey has been anything but easy. From losing her mother to addiction and tragedy to navigating a challenging environment while pursuing an engineering degree, she faced hardships that could have derailed her dreams. Yet, Alana made the choice to push forward, working tirelessly to fund her education and create a successful career. Her determination and grit reflect the “S.O. What!” mindset of overcoming obstacles and eliminating excuses.
