Dr. Rosie Phillips Davis: S.O. What! Success Story
Dr. Rosie Phillips Davis went from poverty to a Ph.D. and has inspired thousands of people along the way.
As a nineteen-year-old black female college student, I’ll never forget the day I saw Dr. Rosie Phillips Davis (known to me as Dr. Bingham at the time). I had never in real life seen a black woman in a position like hers before.
Yet she was nice and approachable. Even had one of my favorite features in a person – a big, welcoming smile.
As a vice president at the University of Memphis, her door was always open and I took advantage of that. Long after I was a student, I still take advantage of the access I have to such an incredibly intelligent and giving woman with a huge heart and amazing story.
In this episode of S.O. What! Success Stories see how life’s setbacks and our own mistakes never have to define us.
Remember, new S.O. What! Success Stories will be posted each week so please subscribe to my YouTube channel and don’t miss a single episode of these.
