Tanisha Pugh S.O. What! Success Story

Do you remember your high school Biology class?

Connected to dissecting a frog is my memory of my classmate, Tanisha (Johnson) Pugh. It actually goes back to elementary school but most vivid are my memories from Biology class.

When we graduated we went separate ways, but I didn’t realize how similar our journeys would be. As college moms, we struggled but fought through and earned our degrees.

Years later we reconnected at our 10 year class reunion and future reunions which we both made it a point to attend. And when she learned that I had become a speaker,  Tanisha Pugh was one of the first people to push to support me. As a board member for a nonprofit that provided housing for teen mothers, she pitched me as the keynote speaker for their major fundraising event.

And that’s who she is. Not only a wife and mom, but also a mentor and supporter. A giver and a doer. And a fighter!

In this episode of S.O. What! Success Stories you’ll be inspired by another young mother with a different and inspiring journey.

Remember, new S.O. What! Success Stories will be posted each week so please subscribe to my YouTube channel and don’t miss a single episode of these inspiring interviews!
