This Black History Month, Make Your Own Mark
As we approach Black History Month, we honor history-makers like Rosa Parks and Frederick Douglas as well as modern-day history-makers like Kamala Harris and Barack Obama. Each of these leaders overcame tremendous obstacles and made history by making a difference.
It’s important for all of us to understand the effort and sacrifices and honor those who came before us. It’s also important for us to see how we too can and should become history-makers by making a difference.
With all the negativity we experience and cause, let’s be empowered and especially empower our youth to honor the figures of history by making our own mark on history.
In my program, Black History Month or Women’s History Month program, Make Your Mark and Leave Your Legacy, I share stories of how I intentionally and unintentionally (and more easily than most might think) made history. And how you, youth, and anyone can too.
What are some ways that you can make your make on history too?
