As Grandparents Day approaches, I reflect on all the precious moments I shared with my grandmothers. From their stories of triumphs and challenges, they showed me what it means to persevere, to care deeply for others, and to live authentically. Their teachings became the foundation of my book written as I grieved ther loss, 100 Lessons My Centenarian Grandmas Taught Me: Two Centuries of Motherly Wisdom and Timeless Advice on Confidence, Resilience, Leadership, and Life.
The book and the accompanying curriculum for students are my way of honoring their lives and sharing their timeless wisdom with the world.
The 12-week curriculum based on 100 Lessons My Centenarian Grandmas Taught Me was created to ensure the wisdom of my grandmas reaches future generations. Focusing on confidence, resilience, leadership, and life skills—the very traits my grandmothers embodied, I hope to help teach youth those important traits and also instill the importance of love and respect for elders.
Want to Teach Respect for Elders?
Whether you’re an educator, youth leader, or parent, you can get the curriculum for just $1.00, a symbolic nod to the 100 lessons my grandmothers taught me. This isn’t just a resource for students—it’s an opportunity to plant seeds of wisdom in the hearts of young people, teaching them the same life lessons that shaped me.
But the impact doesn’t stop there.
All proceeds from the sale of the book and curriculum go toward the Agnes Owens and Ocie Williams Memorial Scholarship.

How are you celebrating your grandparents?
If you’re blessed to still have your grandparents, take this Sunday as an opportunity to cherish them. Ask them questions, soak up their stories, and appreciate the love and history they represent. And if, like me, you’ve lost yours, remember that their legacy lives on through you and the lessons they’ve passed down.
So, this Grandparents Day, I encourage you to not only celebrate the grandparents in your life but also consider investing in the future by supporting this scholarship. By purchasing the book or curriculum, you’re not only honoring the lives of two incredible women—you’re also empowering the next generation to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose.
