After a semester of using the S.O. What! Literacy, Life Skills, and Character Education Program, I had the chance to visit the students who had been reading my book and going through the lessons. The moment I walked in, the energy was electric. These students were engaged, full of questions, and truly connected to the material—and to me.One student told me she had read Life After Birth back in 5th grade—and now, as a high school senior, it still resonates with her. Another opened up for the first time about surviving multiple instances of abuse, something he’d never shared before, but said the book and program gave him the courage to speak up—right there in front of his peers. And that’s what this program does. It creates a space for real conversations, deep connection, and personal growth—while building literacy, character, and confidence.https://stratus.campaign-image.com/images/836007000014049006_zc_v1_1744501341232_iota_book_signing_new.jpg

If you know of youth struggling with focus, behavior, or simply connecting what they’re learning to the real world, this might be the solution you’ve been hoping for. For over a decade, this trauma-informed, SEL-aligned curriculum has helped students not just learn—but heal, grow, and thrive. And now, I’m booking schools, churches, and youth program for this summer and next school year.Help me reach and impact more youth by sharing this program so that we can all play a role in saving our youth!
