From the moment I met Derichia Wells, whom I affectionately call my daughter, Derichia has exemplified unwavering resilience and a spirit that conquers any challenge. Her story is a testament to the power of determination and the ability to overcome obstacles, no matter how daunting they may seem.
Derichia’s journey began with personal struggles that would have deterred many others. Growing up, she faced the profound impact of her father’s addiction, an obstacle that shaped her formative years. But her resilience was tested even further when she tragically lost both her parents to cancer. These experiences, while undoubtedly painful, became catalysts for Derichia Wells growth and resilience.
During her college years, Derichia confronted numerous obstacles that tested her resolve. Balancing grief while pursuing her education presented immense emotional challenges. Undeterred, she tenaciously maneuvered through these challenges as well as career obstacles while continuing to navigate the grief of losing her parents.
Derichia’s story is not one of defeat but of victory.
